法楽相撲がスタート。

Sumo as a kind of Shinto ritual begins.
Enjoy watching the traditional local sumo and exploring the area at your own pace.

Depart for Kanazawa Station

Arrive at Kanazawa Station & tour ends

• Lunch is not included. Please bring your own lunch, or enjoy food from the stalls at the sumo venue, such as yakitori.

• Food, drinks, and souvenirs are not included and must be paid for by participants.

今年も、出作りの山で
焼畑ななぎ大根を育てています。

焼畑といえば、文字どおり
集めた柴を燃やす「火入れ」のイメージが強いですが、
その後の畑打ち（耕作）と間引きが
大根を大きく育てます。

「最初から、密集しないように蒔けばいいのでは？」
そう思っていました。
しかし、間引きした「すぐり菜」が美味しい。

「すぐり菜が食べたいから、種をちょっと多めに蒔こう」
「この芽は、もう少し大きくなったら取ろう」

間引きするうち、出作りの人々の気持ちが
わかってきた気がしました。

Once again this year, we are growing Nanagi Daikon in the mountain where people practiced a traditional way of farming.

When we think of slash-and-burn farming, we often picture the burning of gathered brush. But it is the work that follows—cultivating the soil and thinning the seedlings—that helps the Daikon grow.

At first, I wondered,
“Why not just sow the seeds farther apart?”

But the young seedlings we thin out are delicious.

“So, let’s sow a little extra.”
“I’ll wait a little longer before thinning this one.”

As I thinned the seedlings, I felt I was beginning to understand the people who once lived and farmed these mountains.

住民、来訪者が入り混じる
賑やかな2日間のお祭りで、
白峰の夏が今年も始まりました🏮

For two lively days, locals and visitors came together to celebrate, filling the village with laughter and energy.

水辺で乾杯🍻

しらみね大学村のおかげで、
毎年、若者も地元民（ジゲの衆）も集まる
恒例イベントになりました。

山から海まで、水辺に恵まれた白山市⛰️
こんな場所は中々ないのではないでしょうか（地元びいき）

駐車場混雑について

夏山シーズンになり、
今年はいつ登ろうか？楽しみな方も多い季節⛰️

白山の登山口「市ノ瀬」と「別当出合」駐車場の
混雑予想カレンダーが公開されました🚗
駐車場のキャパシティを超え、
路上駐車などが増えると、
緊急車両や、工事車両等が通れなくなります🚑

また、
8月14日(金) 4:00-12:00
9月23日(水) 4:00-12:00

には、駐車場の事前予約の
社会実験（テスト実施）があります。
（別当出合駐車場のみ）🚗

Parking Information
for the Mt. Hakusan Climbing Season 🚗⛰️

The summer hiking season is here!
Many people may already be looking forward to your next hike.⛰️

A parking congestion forecast calendar has now been released for the Ichinose and Bettodeai trailhead parking areas.

When the parking lots reach capacity, illegal roadside parking can prevent emergency and construction vehicles from passing. 🚑

In addition, a parking reservation pilot program will be conducted at Bettodeai Parking Area only on the following dates:

- August 14, 4:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
- September 23, 4:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

【白山と生きる村のお祭り】
今年も白山が開山し、
白峰恒例の「白山まつり」が開催されます⛰️

西暦717年、白山に登拝したお坊さん「泰澄」が、
長い間下りてこないのを心配した村人たち…。
迎えに行くと、泰澄は神々しい姿で現れ、
それを見た村人たちは、喜んで踊り出したそうです。
その時に踊ったのが「かんこ踊り」といわれ、
輪踊りでは、老若男女みんなで踊ります。

白峰では古くから、
泰澄大師が白山を開山したと伝わる
７月１８日前後にお祭りが行われてきました。
それが現在の「白山まつり」のルーツと言われています。

2週目は、少し雨模様でしたが、
雨のおかげで白山の自然が生きていることが
実感できたかも知れません🌳
（とはいえ、晴れの方が良い？）

There was a little rain during the second week,
but it may have helped us appreciate
just how alive Hakusan’s nature really is. 🌳
(Still, most of us probably prefer sunny days! )

白峰若葉まつり🌱
今年も、お越しいただきありがとうございました🌿

良い天気を通り越して、
暑いぐらいの祭り日和に恵まれ、
地元民もお客様も、思い思いに楽しんだ1日でした。

告知の際のアンケート
「若葉まつりで何する？」は、
「美味しいものを食べる」がダントツの一位。
白峰名物、山菜、お肉にパスタに甘味。
お祭りでしか味わえないメニューが並びました☘️

Thank you for joining the Shiramine Wakaba Festival.🌿

The weather was more than just nice — it was almost hot, making it a perfect day for the festival.
Both locals and visitors spent the day enjoying themselves in their own ways.

In the poll we shared before the event asking,
“What will you do at the Wakaba Festival?”
the overwhelming No.1 answer was:
“Eat delicious food!”

Shiramine specialties, wild mountain vegetables, meat dishes, pasta, and sweets —
the festival was filled with special menus that can only be enjoyed on this day ☘️
